I Corth 10:13 tells us that storms of life are common to man, but God always provides a way of escape and a place of rest from them! Comment on Creation Speaks by tedegly http://tedegly.com/?p=353#comment-1481 tedegly Fri, 19 Jun 2009 00:22:11 +0000 http://tedegly.com/?p=353#comment-1481 April: I enjoyed reading about the exercises that you have with your kids, in helping them see the magnificent wonders of God. I will have to borrow your exercise as my sons gets older. I love the self discovery that can happen in posing questions as you have done with your kids. I imagine the discussion that emerges from your exercises is so enriching, as you dialogue with your kids, and hear the answers they give -- getting a glimpse of Creation through the lenses of their own heart. Invaluable. Job well done, April. Thank you for posting your thoughts, as they gave me some things to chew on. April:

Comment on Creation Speaks by April Mann http://tedegly.com/?p=353#comment-1479 April Mann Thu, 18 Jun 2009 04:39:27 +0000 http://tedegly.com/?p=353#comment-1479 Woah- a teenager wrote that? Some good words there. It's important to me to teach my kids how to think critically for themselves as opposed to indoctrinating them with my beliefs sans rhyme or reason... Because of this: one of the activities I do with them is take them outside with sketch pads and we look at nature and I ask them, "What do you see?" And II'll push them to look further and think more. Like with my 4 year old I might say, "Why do you think the veins are on that leaf?" or "Why do you think there might be spikes on that plant?" Anyway... I do this because of the very same words in your title, "Creation Speaks." I can't deny there appears to be a signature behind the marvel of creation. The signature of a good, merciful God. ...Found your blog via twitter. Thanks for posting. Woah- a teenager wrote that? Some good words there.

The solid base / foundation has not been laid prior to the change. There often times is room for growth / change available under the current scenario without having to make a drastic change. Similar to building blocks ... you can place one on top of the other ... the tower will grow but eventually fall. On the other hand, if you build across, then up you have a solid structure on which to build. Change often fails because it is done to soon.
