brain dump tuesday
Tuesday, December 4th, 2007i know its been awhile. also, i apologize to those who have let me know that they haven’t been able to make comments. that will change, b/c i am working on replacing the current blog skin.
right now i am sitting in panera, hoarding the free wifi. i’m ridiculous, i know. i am sitting fairly close to their bread machine (which the smell is likened to overcooked raisen bagels), but i digress.
a few thoughts to unload:
> i have 2 laptops out on the table, i need counseling, i know…
> i met with a counselor this morning to talk about getting started on my mba next fall…
> did i mention i also have 2 magazines (fast company and inc.) on the side table next to me…yes, i am reading them while i am emailing coworkers and doing homework…
> my son is getting big…he loves to smile and read (ok, no reading yet, but he sure does drool a lot)…
> my wife is a very patient, kind, loving, and generous human being (no, i didn’t do anything wrong)…
> i’m still mulling over a talk i gave last week at the orchard, on vows… (points: (1.) say yes to leass, (2.) say no to more, (3.) and fix what is broken) you can listen here…
> one of my favorite quotes out of the book, good to great, by jim collins: “greatness is not primarily a function of circumstance. greatness, it turns out, is primarily a matter of conscious choice and discipline.”
> the patriot game was great last night (i’m still pulling for the cowboys)…
